Job summary

Blessing Health System in Illinois seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to repair, calibrate and perform preventive maintenance on medical equipment, instrumentation and life support systems. You will support clinical staff in the use of equipment and ensure reliability of critical devices.

Required: associate degree in electronics or biomedical equipment technology with at least 10 years' experience; valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electronics or biomedical equipment technology is highly desirable, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in repair and maintenance.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Non-exempt hourly pay status.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair, calibration and preventive maintenance on basic and complex medical equipment, instrumentation and life support systems used in healthcare delivery.
• Assist medical and nursing staff in the use of equipment.
