Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Northwest seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to acquire, install, calibrate, repair, maintain, and decommission medical equipment at the regional supply center in Oregon. Responsibilities include coordinating vendor services, documenting actions, and ensuring system integration and data retention compliance.

Qualifications include a BS or AAS related to biomedical equipment, certifications, and 5+ years' experience; strong problem solving, teamwork, and communication

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience servicing medical equipment, or eight years with no requirement.
• AAMI certification or equivalent Biomedical Equipment Technician credentials.
• Formal post-secondary degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with specifications for new equipment purchases and evaluation.
• Coordinate installation, calibration, preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure HIPAA storage and security policy compliance for equipment data.
• Document work in the maintenance management system and train staff as needed.
