Insight Surgery in the USA seeks a Senior Biomedical Engineer to transform medical imaging into patient-specific surgical guides. You will collaborate with surgeons and manufacturing teams to take concepts to delivery, using advanced 3D technologies.

The role offers autonomy at the point of care, with a structured career path and opportunities to mentor junior engineers while supporting complex orthopedic cases.

Formación

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Experience using segmentation software for patient-specific surgical guides.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 quality management and technical documentation.
• Solid knowledge of human anatomy and orthopaedic procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end design workflow and ensure ISO 13485 compliance.
• Convert patient imaging data into 3D anatomical models for cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons and clinical teams throughout planning and design.
• Design solutions using CAD for a range of clinical indications.
• Lead design discussions and ensure on-time delivery for surgery.
• Prepare files for 3D printing and manage post-processing and inspection.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment per plan and provide mentorship.
• Attend surgical cases to support surgeons and train staff.
• Improve workflows and contribute to standardized design procedures.
• Support audits with strong knowledge of procedures and compliance.
