Job summary

Bryan College of Health Sciences seeks an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician to lead maintenance and installations of medical systems across the facility. You will oversee testing, calibration, preventive maintenance, and equipment upgrades while coordinating with clinical staff to ensure reliability and safety.

The role requires an associates degree in electronics and at least three years of field experience; CBET/CRES/CLES certifications are preferred and experience with anesthesia,

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Electronics or Biomedical Electronics or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three years full-time electronics experience in the medical equipment service field required.
  • AAMI CBET, CRES or CLES certification preferred.
  • Certification by multiple original equipment manufacturers to repair medical equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all phases of biomedical electronic equipment maintenance; write and update preventative maintenance procedures as needed.
  • Install new biomedical electronic equipment and systems; troubleshoot, repair and route to outside service as needed; modify equipment to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain, administer and update specialized hardware and software systems with project documentation.
  • Train clinical staff in the proper operation of medical equipment systems and provide support for problem troubleshooting.
  • Work with clinical departments to conduct pre-purchase evaluations of equipment and advise on purchases.
