Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior R&D Scientist in Biomaterials at the West Chester, PA site. You will prototype and test new biomaterials technologies, develop methods and processes, and support regulatory submissions across product life cycles.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of biomaterial technologies and chemical test methods is required
• Strong communication skills supporting interaction with upper management, Health Care Professionals and cross-functional teams
• Excellent problem solving, decision-making and root cause analysis abilities
• Ability to lead projects and coordinate across multiple functions
• Proactive in following the New Product Development process and ensuring design validation and verification

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert in biomaterials science and chemical test methods
• Be a technical team member of a cross-functional project core team
• Coordinate with design, marketing, quality and other departments to develop and test new concepts
• Develop testing protocols and conduct lab tasks following standard methods
• Perform analysis and compile technical reports with conclusions and data
• Develop and execute design verification and validation plans for regulatory strategy
• Support development of intellectual property for novel designs
• Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing to optimize manufacturability
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental practices
