Job summary

Confederated Tribes Of The Colville Reservation seeks a Biologist II-Senior to lead the chief Joe Kokanee Enhancement Project within the Fish and Wildlife division. You will oversee staff, develop research protocols, collect data, and ensure timely reporting.

The role entails field surveys, electrofishing, habitat assessments, hydro acoustic and genetic studies, data quality control, and coordination with external agencies. Strong leadership and field operation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in fisheries, natural resources science, or environmental science with 36 months relevant experience or Master’s with 12 months experience.
• Master's in applicable science with 36 months relevant experience; transcripts required.
• State Driver's License and eligibility for Tribe vehicle insurance; Class A CDL required within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Implement CJKEP objectives in Fish and Wildlife's Resident Fish Division.
• Hire and supervise staff; develop protocols and purchase supplies.
• Conduct data collection, QC, analysis, and reporting within deadlines.
• Coordinate activities with outside agencies and represent the Tribe at meetings.
