Qualifications

• Experience with software design, implementation, and deployment of enterprise application software.
• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, .NET, Python, Bash Scripts.
• Knowledge of Database, SQL.
• Knowledge of GIT Source Control, Windows, and Linux.
• Ability to handle periodic on-call duty as well as out-of-band requests.
• Understanding of Requirements Analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable bioinformatics workflows.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate biological questions into computational solutions.
• Maintain and extend existing tools — refactor or modernize legacy pipelines.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and documentation.
• Support data analysts and scientists with technical troubleshooting.
• Architect, develop, test, and maintain Bioinformatics Pipeline Systems.
• Research and develop new algorithms to improve pipeline efficiency.
• Data management and database administration.
• Identify and implement process improvements to automate and scale data delivery.
• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights.
