Job summary

Medasource is seeking a Senior Bioinformatics & Molecular Systems Consultant for a 6-month remote engagement. You will lead and support custom laboratory informatics platforms, including LabVantage, LabHammer, and Archer Analysis, with a focus on data integrity and scalable workflows.

The role requires deep expertise in bioinformatics, molecular diagnostics, and healthcare IT, with strong skills in data integration, APIs, and HL7 messaging. Start date is 10/05/2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 8+ years in bioinformatics, molecular diagnostics, or healthcare IT.
• 5+ years supporting complex lab applications and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and production support for custom lab informatics applications.
• Analyze existing architecture, data flows, and integrations with limited documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, interface, and data integrity issues.
• Support and optimize bioinformatics workflows for molecular diagnostics and genomics.
• Validate data movement across sequencing platforms, LIS, and reporting tools.
• Support integrations using JSON, API-based, file-based imports/exports, and HL7 messaging.
• Analyze and optimize database architecture and data management environments.
• Create technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Identify risks and propose remediation to ensure reliability and data integrity.
• Collaborate with lab leadership, pathologists, and IT teams to support operations.
