Mount Sinai's BiNGS Shared Resource is seeking an experienced Bioinformatician II to lead transcriptomics, epigenomics, and multiomics analyses in cancer biology. You will guide analyses from design to publication, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with investigators across the Tisch Cancer Center and Mount Sinai community.

The role emphasizes leadership, data integration, and the development of publication-ready visuals and reports using Mount Sinai HPC and cloud resources.

Qualificações

• MS or PhD in a relevant field; PhD preferred.
• 2+ years post-graduate experience in a research environment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide scientific and analytical leadership for complex and high-impact genomics and transcriptomics projects (e.g. WES, ULP WGS, bulk and single-cell RNA-seq datasets).
• Manage multiple collaborative projects, including study design, project management, data analysis, data interpretation and storytelling for investigators.
• Integrate internally generated datasets with public resources (COSMIC, TCGA, GEO) to identify patterns and generate hypotheses.
• Develop publication-quality figures, visualizations, and analytical reports for manuscripts, grant applications, and scientific presentations.
• Evaluate and benchmark emerging computational methods for multi-omics data integration and analysis (MOFA, Similarity Network Fusion, etc.).
• Perform large-scale analyses using Mount Sinai HPC; oversee data management, storage, and workflow execution.
• Maintain and support cloud-based computational resources, preferably AWS, including deployment of interactive reports and web apps.
