Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in applied mathematics, physics, chemistry, bioinformatics, computer science, data science, computer engineering or related field required.
• PhD preferred; strong background in bioimage informatics.
• Experience building image-analysis pipelines for biomedical imaging data.
• Experience with Python and computer vision, ML/DL, or statistical imaging methods.
• Experience with AI methods for bioimage analysis including vision transformers, LLMs.
• Experience with reproducible scientific workflows (Snakemake/Nextflow), containers, HPC or cloud environments.
• Hands-on with napari, ImageJ/Fiji, Cellpose, SAM-family, BioFormats, OME-Zarr/NGFF.
• Experience with large image data volumes and data management.
• Ability to communicate results and train researchers; write user docs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, document, and operate image-analysis pipelines and visualization solutions for biomedical imaging research.
• Collaborate with investigators, software engineers, data scientists, imaging facility scientists, and biostatisticians to translate scientific questions into reproducible, scalable analysis workflows.
• Provide technical consultation and training to research teams and serve as project lead coordinating image-analysis efforts.
