Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Senior VDC Manager for the Houston, TX division to lead BIM/VDC strategy and delivery across multiple projects. You will author BEPs, coordinate model workflows, and champion BIM/VDC standards company-wide.

The role requires deep BIM/VDC knowledge, leadership and public speaking skills, and a track record of delivering complex construction projects using CM, IPD, and related delivery methods.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience (Project Architect/Project Manager or equivalent).
• Advanced knowledge of BIM/VDC processes and delivery methods (CMR, DBB, IPD).
• Advanced knowledge of BIM/VDC software, service implementation, and management.
• Strong communication and public speaking skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States; employer sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Develop BIM/VDC service standard training and national adoption.
• Manage BIM/VDC services on multiple projects.
• Train project staff on BIM/VDC processes and services.
• Visit national job sites to implement BIM/VDC processes.
• Market BIM/VDC services internally and externally.
• Present BIM/VDC projects at industry conferences and forums.
• Create BEPs and templates for BIM/VDC.
• Coordinate model turnover and as-builts on multiple projects.
