Job summary

Bennett & Pless in Dallas, TX is seeking a Senior BIM Technician with a solid foundation in structural design to model and detail complex framing systems. The role requires independent work or collaboration to produce accurate models and contract drawings that meet internal and client standards.

You will contribute to updating drawing standards, templates, and libraries, support multiple projects and offices, and participate in QA checks to ensure deliverables align with project requirements.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Engineering Technology.
• 5+ years of experience in the construction or structural engineering industry.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360 and Navisworks.
• Basic knowledge of commercial building code and applicable structural design code material references.
• Basic knowledge of building systems.
• Ability to deliver BIM model, individually or within a team, meeting standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the accuracy of the BIM model and contract drawings.
• Assist BIM Manager in updating or modifying company drawing standards, including model templates, detail library, and drawing or QC processes.
• Provide a self-backcheck as quality control review prior to engineer or project manager review to ensure submittals meet project delivery standards.
• Provide modeling or detailing assistance for projects outside of target specialty or for other B&P offices as necessary.
