Job summary

Thornton Tomasetti, a leading structural engineering firm, seeks an experienced BIM/REVIT specialist to implement and oversee BIM standards across projects. You will model in Revit, support QA/QC, and mentor the team while interfacing with engineers and clients to coordinate BIM strategies.

The role emphasizes technical proficiency in 3D modeling, BIM workflows, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, with a strong focus on delivering precise and constructible drawings.

Qualifications

• Significant design experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Understanding of structural components, materials (steel/concrete), and print/document production.
• Strong 3D parametric modeling skills for integrated building models.
• Experience with BIM-related tools and software suites is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support global BIM and Digital Design standards and workflows.
• Oversee BIM execution on projects, including Revit modeling, documentation, and QA/QC.
• Serve as the primary Revit contact and provide first-line technical support.
• Mentor Revit users and identify training and development needs.
• Assist with RFPs, BIM Execution Plans, and firmwide BIM initiatives.
• Create 2D CAD/3D BIM models to a high level of accuracy.
• Develop structural plans, sections, elevations and details from a 3D BIM model.
