Job summary

Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) seeks an experienced BIM leader to define and coordinate digital workflow strategies across projects. You will drive BIM standards, lead teams of BIM technologists, and collaborate with international offices to ensure high-quality model delivery.

The role requires extensive Revit/BIM tools expertise, strategic thinking, and a track record of managing complex BIM workflows and training initiatives within a large design firm.

Qualifications

• Completion of a professional degree in Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of focused professional experience in applying and developing digital tools and processes to AEC project work.
• Demonstrates initiative, problem solving and high attention to precision at all levels.
• Expert understanding of scripting, programming and related BIM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Leads definition, planning and documentation of digital workflow strategies and data management for Projects.
• Initiates BIM models and drawings with Project Digital Coordinators per standards.
• Advises Project teams on BIM models, process management and objectives.
• Organizes training sessions to promote BIM standards and tools.
• Maintains BIM resources and ensures quality across all projects.
• Leads BIM coordination meetings and liaises with vendors for support.
