Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, seeks a Senior BIM Coordinator in our New York City office to draft, convert, and edit CAD/BIM drawings and related products. You will work with project engineers across commercial, corporate, education, healthcare, and high-rise sectors to ensure accurate BIM/CAD models and compliant workflows.

The role requires 5–7 years of BIM experience, proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD/Navisworks, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience using BIM-related software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
• Advanced proficiency in BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
• Experience with parametric design and coding in Revit Dynamo Script.
• Previous experience at an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
• Strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and BIM regulations.
• Ability to develop 3‑D Revit MEP models from Architectural models and AutoCAD files.
• Proficiency with data management and collaboration tools like BIM 360.
• Knowledge of energy modeling tools (IES VE) and ICT network design.
• Ability to work with multi-discipline teams and strong analytical/leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, convert, produce, and edit CAD/BIM drawings and related products.
• Ensure BIM/CAD model accuracy and completeness across project lifecycles.
• Coordinate with project teams for optimized workflows and BIM/CAD guidance.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications in BIM activities.
• Drive innovation in digital design using new technologies and methodologies.
• Monitor BIM/CAD system performance and identify improvement areas.
• Develop and manage BIM documentation: templates, standards, BEP, kickoff, QA/QC.
• Participate in recruitment and hiring for the BIM team.
• Set up MEP Revit models aligned with AMA/CMTA standards.
