Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. BIM Specialist to lead BIM integration across fast-paced projects and drive standardization of modeling practices. The role centers on coordinating multidisciplinary teams and delivering accurate BIM data throughout the project lifecycle.

You will manage living BIM models, conduct clash detection, and collaborate with design consultants to ensure seamless data flow. Strong experience with Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or construction management.
• 6+ years of hands-on BIM experience in a construction or engineering environment.
• 8+ years of professional BIM coordination experience on high-rise projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for architectural, structural, MEP, and other disciplines using Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD.
• Perform clash detection, model coordination, and constructability reviews to resolve conflicts early in design and construction.
• Lead BIM coordination efforts for multi-disciplinary projects with in-house teams and external consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
• Serve as primary BIM resource for team members and external consultants, addressing technical issues and optimizing BIM processes.
• Maintain a living BIM model to culminate in the as-built facility.
• Lead transition of BIM workflows from third-party providers to in-house operations, including data migration and training.
• Generate construction documentation, quantity takeoffs, and visualizations for bidding, procurement, and on-site execution.
• Troubleshoot BIM environments and recommend software/tools/process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to inform design decisions and mitigate risks.
