Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. BIM Specialist to lead BIM across fast-paced projects, ensuring effective model management and collaboration. You will support project teams, establish BIM standards, and drive workflows from design through construction to an accurate as-built facility.

The role requires advanced proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/ACC, plus experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and implementing automation where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or construction management.
• 6+ years hands-on BIM experience in a construction or engineering environment.
• Strong proficiency with Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD.
• BIM certification (Autodesk or AGC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for architectural, structural, MEP and other engineering disciplines.
• Perform clash detection, model coordination, and constructability reviews to resolve conflicts early.
• Lead BIM coordination for multi-disciplinary projects across in-house and external design teams.
• Establish and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
• Act as primary BIM resource, addressing technical issues and optimizing BIM processes.
• Maintain living models to support as-builts and project handover.
• Lead transition of BIM workflows from external providers to in-house operations.
• Generate construction documents, quantity takeoffs, and visualizations for bidding, procurement and on-site execution.
• Troubleshoot BIM issues and propose software/tools/process improvements.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to inform design decisions and mitigate risks.
