Job summary

Ensemble is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist for a remote role in the United States. The position focuses on daily processing of failed bills/claims, rebills, and associated documentation across multiple payers, with emphasis on accuracy and timely resolution.

• CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire (company paid).
• CPB certification required. Internal candidates must show 100% productivity and 95% quality in prior 3 months.
• Billing experience on multiple payers or as SME on one payer.
• Must demonstrate basic computer skills and Excel proficiency; typing test of 35 wpm required.
• Must be able to provide a mock training session during interview.
• Must be curious and open to AI to improve processes and experiences.

Responsibilities

• Reviews/updates failed bills and claims on host system and billing vendor.
• Processes daily submissions (277s) and resolves claim issues.
• Monitors daily claim errors and recommends system fixes.
• Handles daily late charges and rebills.
• Bills hardcopy claims and attaches supporting documentation.
• Pulls EOBs and medical records and attaches to claims.
• Contacts patients, insurers, or third parties for billing information.
• Creates training materials and conducts training sessions for staff.
• Staffing desk and absentee support as needed.

This position pays between $18.65 - $20.50/hr based on experience

REMOTE position

The Senior Billing Specialist will work daily failed bills/claims on all systems including late charges, rebills and any additional billing reports.

Essential Job Functions:

• Reviews/Updates failed bills & claims on host system and within billing vendor.
• Works daily electronic submissions (or 277's) resolving claim issues.
• Monitors daily claims errors and resolutions providing recommendations on systems fix's going forward.
• Works daily late charges & rebills.
• Bills hardcopy claims attaching any needed documentation for payment.
• Pulls EOB's and Medical Records as needed attaching to claims and mailing
• Contact patients, insurance, any third party for insurance information or any additional billing data.
• Creates training documents/tests. Train educate staff, providing testing.
• Work absentee staffing desk's

Desired Education:

High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience

Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 9 months of hire -Company Paid

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• 2 years of an accredited degree or equal experience.
• Must also be CPB Certified. Internal candidates must have achieved 100% productivity and 95 % quality assurance for the prior 3-month period.
• Must have billing experience on multiple payers or a SME on one payer.
• Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Must pass typing test of 35 words per minute (error adjusted).
• Must be able to provide a mock training session for the interviewer (s).
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
• This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.
