Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Billing Platform in the United States. You will own end-to-end billing components, design scalable metering and invoicing, and shape AI product pricing in collaboration with Cortex AI and Intelligence.

You’ll work across Product, Finance, GTM, Growth, and Legal to ensure reliable, auditable systems. Leverage your distributed-systems expertise in a fast-moving environment, with a strong emphasis on on-call reliability, testing, and CI/CD

Qualifications

7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Experience building large-scale distributed systems.
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field.
Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, or Go.
Strong knowledge of databases, SQL, and data modeling.
Experience with testing, CI/CD, and observability.
Ability to design, schedule, and deliver medium-size projects.
Experience owning reliability and on-call responsibilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Interest in AI and commercial models.

Responsibilities

Own medium-sized projects end-to-end — from design through launch and operation.
Build federated, distributed billing systems that meter, rate, and invoice usage.
Shape billing strategy for AI products in partnership with Cortex AI and Apps.
Use AI as a first-class collaborator in development, code review, and on-call triage.
Own reliability and drive systemic fixes to monitoring, alerts, and quality.
Mentor other engineers and partner with Product, Finance, GTM, Growth, and Legal.
