Job summary

The Department of Administrative Services – Bureau of Information Technology Solutions (DAS-BITS) in Hartford seeks a mid to senior BI/Tableau Admin to manage Tableau Cloud sites, monitor refreshes, and support enterprise reporting across Azure SQL and MuleSoft RT. This role requires strong SQL, Salesforce data knowledge, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will work with developers, analysts, and business users to resolve data issues, optimize pipelines, and support deployments

Qualifications

• 5+ years of BI/Analytics experience with Tableau Cloud administration.
• Experience with Salesforce data structures and reporting impact.
• Proven track record supporting enterprise reporting platforms.
• Strong SQL skills with Azure SQL Database or similar.
• Experience with user setup, roles, and permissions.
• Ability to troubleshoot access, logic, and data issues.
• Experience with SDLC documentation and deployments.
• Collaborative work with architects and management.

Responsibilities

• Administer Tableau Cloud sites, projects, users, groups, permissions, and security.
• Monitor platform health, data refreshes, subscriptions, and scheduled jobs.
• Troubleshoot Tableau performance and connectivity issues.
• Support report developers, analysts, and business users.
• Deploy and promote reports across environments.
• Support Azure SQL Database reporting environments and data quality.
• Investigate data issues and perform data validation.
• Monitor data loads and integration pipelines (ADF, Salesforce, etc.).
• Assist in root-cause analysis of integration/reporting problems.
• Collaborate with development and integration teams during incidents and deployments.
