Job summary

Amazon is seeking senior Business Intelligence Engineers to join the ShipTech Analytics team to design and scale data analytics for the global transportation network. The role emphasizes ETL, data quality, and insights delivered to stakeholders using AWS technologies and large multi‑TB datasets.

You will collaborate with operations, analytics, and senior engineers to create scalable data solutions, drive automation, and ensure data integrity across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional or military experience.
• 5+ years of SQL experience.
• 4+ years of processing large, multi‑dimensional datasets from multiple sources experience.
• 1+ years of performing statistical analysis experience.
• 5+ years as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, BI Analyst, or related role.
• 5+ years of using SQL, ETL, or Oracle experience.
• Experience extracting, transforming and cleaning large (multi‑TB) data sets.
• Experience scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience working with business stakeholders to translate data needs into deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable ETL and metrics for Amazon's global transportation network.
• Build data reporting and data tools to streamline the business lifecycle.
• Partner with operations and analytics teams to design solutions and deliver metrics and insights.
• Own data quality and enhance datasets for operational excellence and customer experience.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to standardize analytics capabilities and build AI‑powered automation.
• Leverage AWS technologies to transform data into actionable metrics.
• Drive code reviews, design discussions, and operational best practices.
