Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Deal Tooling and Insights team.

You will design scalable data pipelines, collaborate with product managers, and translate complex data into actionable insights that influence leadership decisions. You will work with large datasets in a cloud-based analytics environment, develop self-service reporting, and advance AI-enabled analytics capabilities to drive adoption, growth, and efficiency

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional or military experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
• Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills
• Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and models to derive key business metrics from large, complex datasets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and onboard new data sources that expand analytical coverage.
• Create new metrics to measure the health of the business, support business strategy and enable the broader team to achieve its goals.
• Drive the development of new data enrichment tools and self-service reporting mechanisms to help scale and optimize the reporting processes across the organization.
• Conduct deep dive analyses of business problems and formulate conclusions and recommendations to be presented to senior leadership.
• Communicate complex analytical results in a clear and easy-to-understand way and will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems while considering edge cases and different tradeoffs.
• Build and adopt agentic capabilities that automate and accelerate analytical work, from report generation to answering analytical questions on demand.
