Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior BI Analyst to join the Deal Tooling and Insights team to translate complex data challenges into actionable BI solutions that influence high-level decisions.

You will partner with Product Managers, Data Engineers, and internal customers to drive adoption and growth in a cloud-based analytics platform. You will work across a large data warehouse, develop metrics, automate reporting, and contribute to scalable, AI-enabled capabilities that speed insight

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional or military experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
• Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets.
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining.
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and models to derive key business metrics from large, complex datasets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and onboard new data sources that expand analytical coverage.
• Create new metrics to measure the health of the business, support business strategy and enable the broader team to achieve its goals.
• Drive the development of new data enrichment tools and self-service reporting mechanisms to help scale and optimize the reporting processes across the organization.
• Conduct deep dive analyses of business problems and formulate conclusions and recommendations to be presented to senior leadership.
• Communicate complex analytical results in a clear and easy-to-understand way and drive simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems while considering edge cases and different tradeoffs.
• Build and adopt agentic capabilities that automate and accelerate analytical work, from report generation to answering analytical questions on demand.
