Job summary

Chewy is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer III to join the Fulfillment Center Technology Analytics team in Bellevue, WA. This senior role will design and build complex analytics and AI solutions, setting engineering standards and partnering with Product, Engineering, Data Science and Operations.

You will lead multi‑domain analyses of fulfillment center performance, build reusable analytics products, apply AI/ML to operations, and own analytics initiatives end to end with strong data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math/Statistics/Info Systems or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in BI, analytics engineering, data engineering or applied AI/ML.
• Strong SQL, Python, data modeling, ETL/ELT and cloud data platforms such as AWS and Snowflake.
• Experience with dbt.
• Practical AI/ML in analytics or operational workflows (LLMs, agents, RAG, evaluation frameworks or predictive models).
• Experience building analytics apps/visualizations using Streamlit, Plotly Dash, React or Tableau.
• Software engineering practices: version control, modular design, testing, CI/CD and monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, multi-domain analyses of fulfillment center performance, including efficiency, throughput, capacity, labor productivity and quality.
• Build reusable analytics products, inspection tools, automated root‑cause analysis and self‑service capabilities.
• Apply AI, ML, agentic workflows, retrieval‑augmented generation and predictive analytics to operational problems.
• Design scalable, tested data models and pipelines with data quality and observability.
• Own analytics initiatives end to end from problem definition to business impact measurement.
• Raise engineering bar through design/code reviews and reusable components.
• Mentor junior BI engineers and foster experimentation and validation.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical teams, partners and senior leaders.
