Job summary

FHLB Des Moines is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop, test, and support enterprise BI and reporting solutions. You will build Power BI reports, semantic models, and paginated reports while mentoring junior developers and aligning with enterprise standards.

You will collaborate with BI Analysts, stakeholders, and data engineers to deliver data-driven insights that support strategic and operational objectives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in SQL Development and BI development.
• 3+ years of experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Experience with SQL Server, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, SSRS, and SSIS.
• Knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and data transformation techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data accuracy focus.

Responsibilities

• Review report specifications and clarify requirements with stakeholders.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets.
• Build Power BI semantic models using dimensional modeling standards.
• Develop complex DAX measures, KPIs, and performance-optimized solutions.
• Write SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and other DB objects.
• Develop and support paginated reports using SSRS; perform unit testing and QA.
