Job summary

Southern Company’s Data Analytics & Reporting team is seeking a BI/Analytics professional to perform data analysis, modeling, ETL design, and BI solution development. You will work closely with Data Architects to align analytics with the enterprise data management strategy.

This on-site role requires four days per week at the APC Corporate HQ in Birmingham, AL or the GPC Corporate HQ in Atlanta, GA, with strong consulting skills and a focus on data quality, governance, and integration.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or related degree preferred.
Experience with implementing BI/analytics solutions using the Microsoft BI/analytics toolset.
Experience using Power BI APIs and Administrative functions.
Experience working in a fast-paced IT organization.

Responsibilities

Capture, document, analyze, and correlate business information from multiple data sources.
Scope, develop, package and deliver new BI and analytics solutions.
Develop OLAP cubes, dashboards, and reports based on customer needs.
Design and develop ETL packages; understand ETL components.
Design, build and deliver new reports, measures, and KPIs.
Analyze data and develop dimensional data models for BI solutions.
Collaborate with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management.
