Job summary

University of Rochester is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to lead reporting, dashboards, and data quality across multiple university systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, design data models, and implement security for BI tools including Tableau and IBM Cognos.

The role requires strong SQL, experience with Power BI, and familiarity with healthcare or higher education data environments, plus ability to mentor teams and deliver actionable insights for research

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience required
• Master's degree preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
• Experience with developing reports and dashboards with BI tools (PowerBI, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Qlik, IBM Cognos, Tableau) required
• Higher education or healthcare industry experience preferred
• Experience with Agile project methodologies preferred
• 5 years of Student, HCM & Finance reporting experience preferred
• Experience with Oracle on Unix DBMS environment preferred
• Epic reporting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead BI development and reporting initiatives across university systems
• Design and implement data audits for report validation
• Develop dashboards and visualizations for data warehouse and clarity
• Mentor team members and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders
• Ensure security and governance for BI applications
