Job summary

Altorel LLC in Boston is looking for a Data Warehouse Developer/Analyst with expertise in Microsoft BI Stack and substantial data warehousing experience. The role involves collaborating across business units to develop and enhance data warehouse ETL processes, automate data requests, and improve analytics capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in reporting design, strong SQL programming skills, and a Bachelor's degree in computer science. Knowledge of Hadoop and experience in insurance is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in reporting/analytical design.
• Understanding of traditional DW/BI components (ETL, Staging, etc.).
• Intermediate programming skills, preferably with Perl, Python, or Java.
• Knowledge in complex environments, especially with MPP Databases.
• RDBMS product experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Microsoft BI Stack.
• Analyze and automate data requests using SQL and SharePoint.
• Document technical requirements for new reports.
• Work with architects to improve ETL processes.
• Collaborate with business users to scope programming efforts.
