Job summary

Tria Federal (Tria) is seeking a Senior BI Data Engineer to support enterprise data solutions, analytics, and reporting for federal programs. You will transform complex data into actionable insights, collaborate with data teams, and contribute to dashboards and data platforms using SQL, Python, and BI tools.

The role requires strong experience with large-scale databases, data warehousing concepts, and collaboration with stakeholders across IT and business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of data engineering, BI, analytics, or related field.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise databases or data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Teradata).
• Hands-on BI/visualization with Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Strong SQL development for complex datasets.
• Python for data analysis, transformation, scripting, or automation.
• Experience with Jira and GitHub in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize enterprise data solutions for reporting and analytics.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
• Work with large databases/ platforms to retrieve, transform, and analyze data.
• Build and support dashboards/reports/datasets using Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI, etc.
• Use Python for data processing, transformation, and automation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot data, database, or reporting issues; ensure data quality and performance.
• Maintain documentation for data sources, queries, transformations, and data models.
• Support Agile planning and CI/CD practices for data/BI projects.
