Job summary

Nordstrom seeks a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to collect, analyze, and present data to improve decisions around customer experience projects. The role requires curiosity about the business and the ability to derive actionable insights from data that stakeholders can trust for decisions.

You will contribute to our data warehouse and BI platform, partner with stakeholders for self-service BI, and respond to fast-turn requests with high-quality output, collaborating with IT to ensure data

Qualifications

• Master's degree in quantitative field or equivalent corporate experience.
• 3+ years of corporate experience writing advanced SQL (Teradata, MySQL preferred), tuning BI queries, and developing automated data reporting.
• 3+ years of corporate experience building advanced Tableau dashboards for ongoing measurement and self-service needs.
• 2+ years of scripting for automation (Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.).
• Experience leveraging AWS for data warehousing and process automation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and evolution of the data warehouse and BI analytic platform.
• Partner with business stakeholders toward delivering effective self-service BI solutions.
• Respond to fast-turn BI analytic requests from a wide variety of business partners and deliver high-quality analytic output.
• Collaborate with the BI Manager and Center of Excellence to bring salient data into key business functions.
