Job summary

BlackSky is seeking a Senior Analyst, Business Intelligence to support data-driven decision-making across our space-based intelligence business, with a focus on analyzing constellation capacity, customer demand, and product performance.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Management, you will build on an existing foundation of Python, SQL, and Excel-based analytical tools and datasets, while developing new analyses that connect operational and commercial data to business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative, technical, business, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex business questions into structured analytical problems and communicate actionable conclusions.
• Conduct constellation capacity analyses across geographies and products.
• Own and evolve core BI datasets and analytical tools to evaluate customer ordering behavior, product usage, revenue, pricing dynamics, and operational performance.
• Maintain and expand Python- and SQL-based workflows that ingest, standardize, enrich, and analyze large datasets.
• Partner with Product, Sales, and GTM teams to evaluate deals, product structures, customer requirements, and commercial tradeoffs using quantitative analysis.
• Improve documentation, modularity, and reproducibility of the analytical codebase.
• Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
