Job summary

BlackSky Holdings LLC is seeking a Senior Analyst, Business Intelligence to drive data-driven decisions across space-based intelligence. You will analyze constellation capacity, demand, and product performance, building on Python, SQL, and Excel datasets while creating new analyses linking operational and commercial data to business actions.

The role requires translating questions into actionable insights, strong communication, and the ability to work with large, distributed datasets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, technical, business, or related field.
• Minimum of five years in BI, analytics, data science, or related analytical role.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis and familiarity with SQL.
• Ability to translate complex questions into structured analysis.
• Strong business and technical acumen with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex business questions into structured analytical problems and communicate actionable conclusions.
• Conduct constellation capacity analyses across geographies and products.
• Own and evolve BI datasets and tools to evaluate customer behavior, product usage, revenue, pricing, and performance.
• Maintain and expand Python- and SQL-based workflows ingesting large datasets.
• Collaborate with Product, Sales, and GTM teams to analyze deals, requirements, and tradeoffs.
• Improve organization, documentation, and modularity of analytical codebase for long-term maintenance.
• Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
