Senior BI Analyst

Job Description Summary

We are seeking a Senior BI Analyst to serve as a key link between our integrations/data engineering team, data governance, and visualization teams. The role involves supporting and enhancing a global BI platform primarily built on the Microsoft stack in Azure.

Responsibilities:

• Support and troubleshoot the BAU BI platform, resolving data model issues, complex business logic in Power Query (M), calculations in DAX, and issues with Power BI reports, SQL views, and data refreshes.
• Develop and improve Power BI dashboards and tabular models, including supporting Power BI embedded portals.
• Assist in transition management for new client onboarding, including building and testing dashboards and models.
• Participate in client project activities such as requirements gathering, business rule specification, dashboard and model design, and change management in Azure Analysis Services and Power BI.
• Document new implementations and changes to ensure compliance with IT and Business standards.

Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of recent Power BI development experience.
• Strong knowledge of DAX and M programming languages, data modeling, and report design.
• Hands-on experience with tabular models (Power BI or Azure Analysis Services) and T-SQL querying.
• Experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and creating design documents.
• Familiarity with source control systems like Git, including branching strategies and CI/CD principles.
