In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of high-quality, user-friendly analytic visualizations/dashboards, reports, and related analytic content for business partners. Work with the analytics team to develop new and impactful visualizations that make analysis and data easy to understand, actionable, and facilitate idea generation and decision-making. The job may also entail application administration of analytic tool server environments (e.g., PowerBI) along with development and deployment of solutions created in other data visualization and reporting tools, and the development of best practices for enterprise adoption.

What You Will Do

  1. Collaborate with business areas to conduct interactive and iterative user design sessions to produce rapid solution prototypes.
  2. Engage with external customers on a rolling quarterly basis.
  3. Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to identify, create, and influence optimal solution design to deliver actionable insights.
  4. Mentor and provide knowledge transfer to junior team members by guiding them on development best practices.
  5. Design and architect high-performance data visualization solutions for large projects to enable delivery of analytic value and ensure maintainability and scalability as business needs evolve.
  6. Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving sessions to arrive at optimal solutions considering stakeholder needs to ensure successful project delivery.
  7. Provide team status updates on various projects, escalate issues as needed, assess and communicate risks to the development schedule and project, and represent the Viz Team's interests in cross-functional project teams.
  8. Create, maintain, and enforce data visualization governance and development standards to continuously improve solution quality and process efficiency across the enterprise.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field.
  • In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Healthcare industry experience (preferred).
  • Desire to make an impact.
  • Curiosity and commitment to solving problems.
  • Comfort engaging directly with customers, including senior leadership.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we pride ourselves on a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market rates. Our starting salaries are typically near the middle of the listed range. Compensation decisions are based on experience, training, skills, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a comprehensive Total Rewards package including an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.

*Based on corporate and individual performance.

$84,000.00 - $152,200.00
