Job summary

Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts is seeking a Business Intelligence Administrator in Austin to lead the SAP Business Objects platform, oversee security and data access, and collaborate with data warehouse and IT teams to deliver scalable reporting solutions.

The role emphasizes governance, upgrades, and strong stakeholder engagement while enabling analysts and power users to build reliable enterprise reports.

Qualifications

• Six years of progressively responsible experience in systems analysis, business intelligence, reporting platform administration, enterprise application support, data warehousing, or related IT work.
• Three years of hands-on experience administering or supporting SAP Business Objects Enterprise or equivalent BI platform.
• Three years of experience with SQL, relational databases, semantic layer or metadata design, role-based security, software lifecycle management, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the SAP Business Objects platform.
• Lead systems analysis and solution design with business units and tech teams.
• Manage security, access, reporting governance, including users, roles, and data protections.
• Develop and support reporting metadata, semantic layers, connections, and data foundations.
• Plan and execute platform lifecycle initiatives including upgrades, migrations, and DR readiness.
• Provide advanced support, consultation, and user enablement for report developers and power users.
• Maintain documentation, vendor coordination, and operational reporting.
