Newton CFV INC in Sebastian, Florida, is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to lead design, development, prototyping, and testing of beverage equipment. You will use SolidWorks to create models, assemblies, and drawings, and build prototypes in the R&D lab.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve designs, reduce costs, and support product launches from concept to production. Hands-on prototyping and testing, plus documentation of changes and results, are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Significant experience in mechanical design, product development, and engineering prototyping.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience with prototype fabrication, 3D printing, and product testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate test results and implement design improvements.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a collaborative environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Participate in R&D team meetings and contribute to product development strategy, design reviews, and project planning.
• Lead the design and development of new beverage equipment and improvements to existing products.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
• Work hands-on in the R&D lab to build, prototype, assemble, and test parts and equipment.
• Design and produce 3D-printed prototypes to evaluate concepts, fit, function, and manufacturability.
• Conduct prototype testing and analyze results to validate designs, identify issues, and recommend design modifications.
• Evaluate existing designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and other departments to resolve technical challenges and support product launches.
• Document design changes, test results, and engineering recommendations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the engineering team.
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain an organized, functional R&D lab environment.
