Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Project Engineering Manager in a hybrid role with locations including Overland Park, KS, Orlando, FL, and several other U.S. sites.

You will lead a multi‑discipline team of engineers and technicians to deliver complex BESS + Solar projects, manage design, procurement, and EPC activities, and drive budgeted execution and client relationships. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 8+ years of related experience, and professional licensure as a PE

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 8 years related work experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).
• Professional registration or licensure (PE) highly preferred or actively pursued.

Responsibilities

• Lead large multi‑discipline teams to deliver complex engineering design and project deliverables.
• Manage project execution including engineering design, materials, equipment, and construction specification development for Solar + BESS projects.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and client communications; coordinate with project management and business development.
