Consolidated Edison Company of New York (Con Edison) seeks a quantitative analyst to build and run models in Excel and related platforms to evaluate the economics of battery storage projects and to support forecasts and scenarios in NYISO markets.

The role includes developing tariff and market analyses, contributing to regulatory filings, and collaborating with storage development, interconnection, operations, and policy teams to translate data into actionable insights for strategy and value

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience or Master's Degree and 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong quantitative skills with demonstrated work around economic modeling or optimization
• Policy research and interpretation experience is required
• Knowledge of energy market modelling including NYISO capacity, energy and ancillary services values is preferred
• Knowledge of energy storage deployment in New York State and related regulatory context is required
• Experience working with or for electric or gas utilities is required
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including ability to engage executive audiences

Responsabilités

• Analyze the economic value of proposed storage projects using company models and optimization tools
• Develop content for engagement with stakeholders such as NY DPS and NYSERDA
• Conduct quantitative analyses to support team activities
• Draft analyses of regulatory proceedings and explain impacts on storage markets
• Contribute to white papers, rate filings and other regulatory documents
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including storage development, interconnection and policy
