Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, ID seeks a Process Integration Engineer to join the BEOL team. You will develop, optimize, and transfer DRAM BEOL process flows, working alongside experienced engineers to improve yield and reliability through data analysis and statistical methods.

Strong fundamentals in materials science or related fields are essential, with hands-on deposition or etch experience valued. This role offers growth in a global memory leader with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD preferred; BS required with relevant coursework in thin films or interconnect technology.
• Fundamental understanding of semiconductor fabrication: thin films, etch, lithography, CMP.
• BEOL concepts: metallization, interconnects, dielectrics, barrier/liner films.
• Hands-on deposition/etch experience (CVD/ALD/PVD or similar).
• Experience in DRAM or memory device process integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support BEOL flow development, optimization, and integration for advanced DRAM tech.
• Troubleshoot integration issues across metallization, dielectrics, etch, and CMP modules.
• Analyze process and electrical data to drive yield and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with module, device, reliability, and manufacturing teams to solve challenges.
• Participate in tech transfer from R&D to pilot production and document results.
• Learn and apply statistical tools (JMP, Python, R) to data-driven decisions.
• Support exploration of next-generation BEOL architectures and materials.
