Job summary

Serenity Healthcare in Lehi, UT is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Senior Manager to lead our payroll, benefits, and HR operations team. This hands-on leadership role focuses on self-funded health plans, with strong payroll oversight and cross-state HR guidance.

The ideal candidate will combine strategic oversight with practical problem solving, coaching a small team of two and partnering with brokers and carriers to optimize costs and compliance across states.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in benefits, payroll, and HR operations.
• Strong experience administering and managing self-funded employee health plans.
• Knowledge of benefits administration, plan design, renewals, and vendor/broker relationships.
• Working knowledge of payroll operations with ability to serve as a hands-on backup when necessary.
• Experience leading and developing a payroll, benefits, HR, or HR operations team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration and ongoing management of Serenity Healthcare's employee benefit programs, with a strong emphasis on our self-funded health plan.
• Provide leadership and oversight for payroll operations and serve as backup for payroll processing.
• Review plan performance, utilization, costs, claims trends, and opportunities to improve plan effectiveness.
• Manage annual benefits renewals and open enrollment, ensuring accurate enrollment, deductions, and changes.
• Coach team members and establish accountability across payroll, benefits, and HR administration.
