W.W. Grainger, Inc. is hiring a Senior Manager, Benefits (Health & Welfare Programs) to lead the design, implementation and ongoing management of Grainger’s U.S. health and welfare benefit programs. Expect collaboration with leaders, consultants, vendors, and internal teams to optimize performance and cost efficiency.

The role requires 7+ years in employee benefits and strong leadership. This hybrid position is based onsite in Lake Forest or Chicago, with 2-3 days weekly in office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, finance, or related field is required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in employee benefits and health & welfare.
• People leadership experience in benefits or total rewards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, administration, and improvement of health and welfare programs.
• Evaluate program competitiveness, sustainability, and compliance; leverage data and market practices.
• Present to leadership on annual planning, vendor reviews, plan design, budgeting and execution.
• Manage external consultants and vendors; establish SLAs and conduct QBRs.
• Oversee end-to-end annual enrollment and benefit projects; ensure smooth delivery and user experience.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise leadership on impacts.
