Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is seeking a Sr. Benefits Specialist to manage benefit policy interpretation, retirement administration, regulatory compliance, wellness, training, and customer service for GCNA and its affiliates.

The role emphasizes eligibility tracking, COBRA coordination, vendor collaboration, and annual open enrollment, with possible travel for wellness events and training. Strong communication and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in benefits compliance and with external provider partners.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Capable of handling multiple calls due to high volume.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook) and strong Excel skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with team member inquiries via phone, mail, and email about benefits.
• Coordinate eligibility with leaders, HRBPs, and third-party admins.
• Assist with training and mentoring Benefits Specialists.
• Process retro-payments and coordinate with Payroll.
• Reconcile carrier bills and perform audits.
• Assist with ERISA and other regulatory reporting.
