Position Overview:

The Senior Compensation and Benefits Manager will work with leadership and cross-functional partners to design and implement a competitive and analytically-driven compensation and benefits program aligned to Ceribell’s philosophy, goals and values. You will ensure all compensation and benefits practices are aligned with the company’s strategic objectives and compliant with applicable laws and regulations. You will lead market analysis, oversee benefits administration, and provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership. You will consult with internal leaders and business partners to drive data-backed compensation decision-making. Additionally, you would own health & welfare benefits, with support from your peers in People Operations.

This role will report to the Head of People and Culture in close partnership with our People Operations and Finance teams. We are looking for someone who can grow with the company and who finds purpose in doing great People & Culture work.

This role is based in our Sunnyvale office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Tuesday and Thursday. Occasionally, this schedule may differ based on collaboration needs or critical meetings.

What you'll do:

  • Work with data to build robust models and analyses. Draw conclusions and make recommendations that will help drive both new and existing compensation policies and programs.
  • Conduct benchmarking evaluations; collect and analyze salary information to ensure ranges and programs are market competitive.
  • Own the preparation of materials for Compensation Committee meetings and Proxy Statements.
  • Consult with business leaders, HR business partners, and recruiters on compensation goals and decisions.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team on compensation and offer escalations.
  • Own the Health & Welfare Benefits strategy and its annual operations, in partnership with our high-touch broker, and with support from People Operations.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefit programs
  • Partner with brokers and vendors to evaluate and negotiate benefit plans, ensuring cost-effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
  • Lead annual open enrollment processes, including communication strategy and employee support.
  • Ensure benefits programs are compliant with federal and state regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, COBRA).
  • Own the administration of Ceribell’s semi-annual compensation review cycles.
  • Lead change management and communication efforts associated with our compensation program, including assisting with development of enablement materials. This is a critical part of the role.
  • Monitor industry trends and benchmark data to make informed recommendations on pay and benefits.
  • Develop and deliver employee education on compensation and benefits offerings.
  • Identify HRIS implementation opportunities and process improvements related to total rewards.
  • Prepare reports and analyses for senior management and regulatory filings.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in compensation, executive compensation and benefits and/or Total Rewards, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven ability in designing compensation job leveling, salary structure, market pricing and equity program design and execution. Extensive experience with Radford job leveling and interpretation by job family is a plus.
  • Experience in a publicly traded company.
  • Experience in the medical device or healthcare industries is a plus, as are relevant certifications (e.g., CCP, CBP, CEBS).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a track record of developing and delivering clear compensation insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle complex issues with a high sense of urgency, employee-centric and service focus, exceptional organizational skills and level of integrity/discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Advanced experience in Excel/Google Sheets
  • Ability to analyze data from multiple HR systems, summarize and create insights to communicate to the business.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

At Ceribell, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission. If you're interested in this role and don't meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to apply.

A candidate’s final salary offer will be based on their skills, education, work location and experience, and thus it may differ from the posted range.
