Job summary

State of Missouri's Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development (DHEWD) seeks a Working Supervisor to oversee a local Job Center operation, staff, and customer service. You will lead outreach, ensure compliance, and support collaboration with partners to deliver services.

  • Experience supervising local office operations and staff.
  • Plan, organize and supervise work to meet goals.
  • Conduct regional outreach to locate job seekers and employers.
  • Promote Job Center services based on customer needs.
  • Encourage teamwork and collaboration with staff and partners.
  • Supervise re-employment services and meet performance standards.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff to perform at competency level.
  • Monitor staff schedules, attendance and outreach scheduling.
  • Attend meetings and conferences as directed.
  • Ensure timely submission of required reports and adapt procedures as needed.
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee local office operations, staff and customer service in the local one-stop delivery system.
  • Plan and supervise work to meet Office and Department goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regional outreach to locate job seekers and employers.
  • Promote Job Center services and benefits to customers.
  • Encourage teamwork and collaboration with Job Center staff and partners.
  • Supervise re-employment services and assist in meeting performance standards.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and training for staff.
  • Monitor and manage staff schedules and attendance.
  • Attend staff meetings and regional supervisory meetings.
  • Ensure timely reporting and communicate with management.
