Job summary

VeSync is seeking a Senior Applied Behavioral Scientist to lead the just‑in‑time adaptive intervention system and the causal inference learning loop within our US‑based Behavioral Science team in California.

You will own decision logic for when to intervene, define tailoring variables, collaborate with AI/ML and Engineering to translate theory into sprint‑friendly, production‑grade systems, and help publish findings.

Qualifications

• PhD in Behavioral Science or related field with publication track record.
• 5+ years in senior behavioral science roles with intervention design experience.
• Deep expertise in BCTTv1, COM-B, and related behavior models.
• Experience with causal inference, MRTs, MABs or RL in digital health.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience in health tech or algorithmic decision‑making preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the JITAI decision logic and adaptive intervention system design.
• Define tailoring variables and decision points for prompts.
• Translate behavioral theory into production-ready rules for engineering.
• Review and validate intervention logic against evidence base.
• Collaborate with AI/ML and BeSci teams to align taxonomy and data schemas.
• Publish findings and contribute to evidence standards.
