The ideal candidate has a CPC certification, 3+ years in behavioral health coding or auditing, strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and experience mentoring others.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in Behavioral Health medical coding or documentation auditing.
• CPC certification required; CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 knowledge essential.
• Experience reviewing complex coding, findings, and communications with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical record audits to ensure billed codes align with documentation.
• Provide detailed written summary of medical record review findings and testify when needed.
• Mentor new coders and provide training on coding and record review.
