Job summary

Maesa seeks an experienced Package Developer to drive innovative beauty packaging from concept to production. Based in Manhattan, this hybrid role requires three on-site days per week and close collaboration with global manufacturing partners to deliver high-quality, cost-efficient packaging.

You will lead program timelines, manage budgets, and ensure packaging meets quality and timing expectations across multiple categories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 5–7 years in packaging development, preferably in beauty/cosmetics/CPG.
• Experience managing custom packaging from concept to commercialization.
• Strong project management with multiple timelines and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging development for turnkey beauty programs from concept through production.
• Manage timelines, milestones, and packaging costs for launches.
• Oversee form, fit, and function of custom packaging across beauty categories.
• Collaborate with Creative, Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, and external customers.
• Coordinate testing and ensure GMP/testing standards are met before launch.
• Develop Bills of Materials, packaging specs, and assembly instructions.
• Monitor costs and communicate milestones; flag risks to stakeholders.
• Support additional packaging initiatives as needed.
