Job summary

Cleary is seeking a Business Development Senior Coordinator to support the Debt Finance, Structured Finance and FIG practices across the Americas. You will work with lawyers, BD colleagues, and the broader BDMC team to execute growth strategies, deepen client relationships, and raise the firm’s profile in key markets.

This hybrid role involves preparing pitches and RFP responses, updating biographies, coordinating events, conducting client research, and ensuring cross‑functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Three years of business development experience in a professional services firm.
• Excellent analytical and research skills; ability to synthesize information clearly.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions, levels, and geographies.
• Attention to detail; ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Interest in developing knowledge of the supported practices and markets.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior BD team on cross-selling and client targeting across the Americas.
• Prepare pitches, RFPs, directory and award submissions; maintain credentials.
• Keep attorney bios up to date.
• Plan and execute external events, webinars, and sponsorships.
• Conduct research on clients, competitors, and market trends to drive decisions.
• Attend meetings, document takeaways, and follow up on actions.
• Coordinate with PR/Comms, Marketing, Content, and Digital to raise the firm's profile.
• Maintain BD activities and CRM data; utilize market intelligence tools.
• Support BD teams in other groups and regions as needed.
