Form Energy in Somerville, MA is seeking a Senior Test Technician to support our iron-air battery testing and validation efforts. You will join the Test Execution team to run, maintain, and troubleshoot electrochemical tests, collaborating with engineers and vendors.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in electrochemical, electrical, or mechanical testing.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose failures and implement fixes.
• Understanding of wiring, circuits, and test instrumentation.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to refine processes.
• Excellent communication to collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and software teams.
• High attention to detail to ensure reliable data.

Responsibilities

• Set up, execute, and dismantle electrochemical test devices.
• Identify and resolve complex issues with test equipment and battery systems with engineers and vendors.
• Improve SOPs and troubleshooting guides to boost efficiency, safety, and data quality.
• Provide guidance on test processes and support junior technicians.
• Track testing status using Jira, Slack, Confluence, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Promote lab safety and chemical hygiene best practices.
