Job summary

Bose Corporation in Framingham, MA seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer – Battery & Power Design to lead battery-powered product development from concept to mass production. You will design battery packs, power-management circuitry, and protection schemes, collaborating with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

The role requires strong analog/digital design skills, expertise in battery systems, and hands-on PCB work.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of battery-powered system architecture and power-management design.
Hands-on experience with Lithium-ion or lithium-polymer battery systems.
Battery charging and power-path architectures.
Fuel-gauge and battery-monitoring devices.
Battery protection and safety circuits.
Power-conversion topologies and efficiency optimization.
Low-power and standby-current optimization.
System power-state management and sequencing.
Analog and mixed-signal fundamentals for reliable hardware.
Experience with embedded microcontrollers and interfaces (I2C/SPI/UART/USB).

Responsibilities

Design and develop battery and power-management circuitry for portable consumer electronic products.
Review schematics for battery packs, chargers, Qi chargers, and related power electronics.
Perform component selection, circuit analysis, simulation, and design trade-off studies.
Evaluate and optimize power architecture for efficiency and reliability.
Bring-up, debug, and root-cause analysis of battery-related issues.
Collaborate with Mechanical, EMC, Reliability, and Manufacturing teams for robust designs.
